About Us
In 1988, Margie Haley (Mom) was wanting to sing some songs from Handel's "Messiah". But her church choir was small and didn't feel up to the challenge. So she spent 11 months teaching "For Unto Us a Child Is Born" to her husband and two daughters, ages 10 and 8. The drive to the church was 45 minutes each way, so the trip in the station wagon became a weekly choir practice.
The kids didn't know Handel's "Messiah" was too hard for them, so they learned it and had fun! It was so neat getting to know those majestic musical phrases that nobody complained about only learning one or two measures at a time.
Every year, the family learned a new song from "The Messiah" and it became a tradition for our church to hear us sing for their Christmas Eve service. More family members were added as time went on. People heard that we sang and requested that we come for a Ladies' Tea, a Mother's Day banquet, or a Friendship Day dinner. We sang a variety of songs, including band numbers and songs our son Chris had written. But we almost always ended with "The Hallelujah Chorus", just because we like it so well!

Now, 19 years later, there are eight children, along with Mom and Dad. The oldest is married with six kids of her own, and the youngest is eight--best friends with all those nieces and nephews.
For Christmas 2007, the Singers are Mom, Dad, all eight of the children, and a Haley by marriage. We are so blessed to be singing together that we've decided to do a full concert of Messiah songs--more than 20 of them--for the first time, and sing for anyone in the area that wants to hear us.
