Missions Calvary Chapel Carroll County believes in accomplishing the Great Commission--to go out and make disciples of all nations--in whatever ways God guides and enables us to do it. At present, our Missions projects include and have included:
Support for a native missionary overseas
Support for a full-time U.S. missionary family overseas
Support for a Calvary Chapel missions church overseas
Support for a family from our church who have been called to full-time overseas missions.
The Masih Family
Our native missionary, Pastor Pradeep Masih, lives in Jammu Kashmir with his wife and children. Their ministry includes work with the leper colonies, and an orphanage/church/feeding center/school all packed into one small building. Click here to learn more about the ministry in India
The Nagy Family - England
Our full-time U.S. missionaries, Christian and Autumn Nagy, are now serving in Norway. Christian is a construction missionary. Supported by fellowships and individuals such as ours, he is able to provide expertise in remodeling buildings to serve practically as churches, Christian colleges, and living quarters for students. Autumn is the oldest daughter of Pastor Joe Bell from Calvary Chapel Lafayette. They have four daughters--Victoria, Sofia, Malina, and Syrill. Click here for their website
The Children's Church in Manchester
Our mission church in Managua was pioneered by Calvary Chapel Merritt Island, Florida, and now includes a bakery, a feeding center, clothing distribution, an orphanage, and a Christian school. All of these help meet material needs for some of the poorest people in this hemisphere as they grow in Christ. Our students have participated gladly on missions trips to Mexico and Managua (3), and Louisiana (with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association). See our photo gallery for pictures.
The Carroll County Jail Ministry's New Life Behavior Class is a ministry that disciples inmates at the Carroll County Jail who are new to the faith or rededicating their lives to Jesus. Our pastor, youth leader, and others serve in an ongoing basis as volunteers in this ministry.
Missions 2007
In 2007, our church sent one summer missionary to Nicaragua with Harvest Chapel Lafayette's team, June 7-15. Susie Haley served with the 2005 missions team and was greatly blessed to have a chance to return. The trip was coordinated by Servant Senders, a ministry of Horizon Christian Fellowship Central, in Indianapolis. The team met regularly for training sessions so that each of the missionaries would be prepared physically, mentally, and spiritually for service.
